When developing Waters Edge we aimed to use all our space to its full potential therefore creating three areas which we believe give us that little bit extra.
Our greatest feature is the large indoor activity room. Mainly used when the weather is poor and the children are unable to go outside. It gives them chance to let off steam and improve their gross motor skills. The bouncy castle, ball pool and other equipment is a great favourite with the children. We also hold extra classes for the children in this room.
The outdoor play area is safe and secure; it is an extension of our indoor provision. With climbing equipment, bikes and the many other activities including the large play boat, sand and water play, easel, play house, floor chalks and sport equipment the children opportunity to take in the fresh air, look at the scenery and have lots of fun.
The staff encourage group games, singing and friendly guidance as the children develop their social, fine and gross motor skills. The children have their own little garden, of which they can plant seeds, grow vegetables and learn about the environment.
Not only do we have the separate units, but provided for the children is their own dining room. This gives the children opportunity to meet others, learn good manners and social skills. It is great to see the children come together and socialize.
We have two chefs called Sue and Rose. Together they have put into place a three week menu, offering the children a different mean each day for three weeks. The food we provide gives the children a balanced diet, including lots of fresh vegetables and fruit. Click here for our food menu.
